Graphic designer wants to arrange PDFs into an art board
"I am a graphic designer in marketing for an appliance company in Oregon.
I work in a small team of 5 people, one of which is another graphic designer while the other three are media buyers. I create print ads for our company such as newsprint, magazines, posters, flyers, and inserts. I also make all the signage for our stores, and help designs tents for events. Our company has 5 locations overall, and our small marketing team produces for all of them. I work with several programs everyday such as Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
My main concern involves editing/art programs like Photoshop and Indesign. Frequently I make several versions of one ad, and have to either print them or send files to my superiors for review. I send them several PDFs, and they have to view them one at a time like single pages of a book. I'm looking for a program that will arrange the PDFs for me into an art board that I can then send to my co-workers. This way all versions of the ad can be viewed next to each other in an organized way for ideal critique viewing. If I want to do this currently I would need to import each ad into a new file on Indesign, and then manually align them myself, and then export it out. I would expect the program to take each file I upload to it, and align them in rows vertically and horizontally with the ability to change the background of the 'art board' to colors like black, grey, and white. It would be preferred that this could then be exported to a PDF or a JPEG, and the program accept PDFS, JPEGS, and PNGS.
I would definitely pay for this software. It would help me communicate with my co-workers better, and help me express my marketing ideas more easily."
